My name is Silvia, and I am a qualified native-speaker Spanish Language Coach, Trainer and Teacher. I have more than 12 years’ experience in creating and delivering bespoke Spanish courses to professionals.
My students work at well-established companies in central London, mostly in the finance and insurance sector, these include Banco Santander, AON, TA Associates, and Hudson Advisors. I have also worked for European Union institutions such as the European Medicines Agency.
I have taught students individually and on a group basis to speak fluently in Spanish, allowing them to use Spanish confidently in a range of contexts and improve their general and business communication.
I hold an ELE Diploma in Spanish as a Second Language, and I am an ELC Accredited and Certified Neurolanguage Coach®. This means I can effectively deliver Spanish language knowledge based on a combination of coaching techniques and neuroscience.
My Audiovisual Communication Degree (Universitat de Barcelona) allows me to communicate Spanish language ideas in a concise and influential manner. I have also completed a Humanities Degree (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona), and a Masters degree in History (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona) which have given me a thorough understanding of History, Politics, and Culture– some of the most interesting topics to a student.
Originally from Barcelona, I teach Spanish with an excellent Castilian accent. In light of Spanish being a global language, I have also spent considerable time in Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and other Spanish-speaking countries. This allows me to answer any linguistic and cultural questions on Spanish usage outside of Spain.
I am proud to be a dynamic, motivational, and organised person who is dedicated to bringing out the best in each Spanish student. As a problem-solver, I intend to offer effective solutions to language problems in any context, and bring considerable value to students both now and in future. More than that, I never stop learning and innovating my teaching approach because I understand that every student is different. Passionate about travelling and intercultural relations, I enjoy getting to know people from every background.
